SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
Activity ID: 2024-08-14T08:23:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N14E03
Active Region Number: 13784
Note Keyword:
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
Note: This CME is visible as a partial halo directed towards the northeast in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 imagery and is visible mostly to the northeast in STEREO A COR2 imagery. The source is an X1.1 flare and eruption from Active Region 13784 (N14E03) starting around 2024-08-14T06:27Z as seen in SDO AIA 131, 171, 193, 304 imagery. Dimming is observed in SDO AIA 171 and 193 surrounding the eruption site, and post-eruptive arcades begin to form around 08:30Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |
